Nadeau Poultry has been providing Canadian families with healthy, wholesome chicken for their dinner tables for more than 50 years.

A Safe & Stable Food SupplyKeeping our food supply safe and stable is important to Canadians. Actions in New Brunswick are threatening this stability with the mismanagement of the chicken supply chain. Keeping Jobs in New BrunswickBefore 2007, Nadeau Poultry acquired almost all of its chicken supply from growers located within 10 km of the plant in Saint-François-de-Madawaska. Today, more than 270,000 chickens a week leave our region, and are trucked to Québec by conglomerate Groupe Westco in defiance of longstanding principles of supply management. Nadeau Poultry is deeply concerned about this, and what it means to our food production system in Canada and the 165 jobs that went with the chickens to Quebec. |
